Trauma Constellations

Trauma Constellations grew out of Bert Hellinger’s Family Constellations , applying the trauma theories and methodologies developed by Franz Ruppert.

~  At its most basic a constellation is a configuration of elements that relate to an issue brought by someone. It is an external representation of an internal state. In a group the elements related to the issue are represented by group members, and in the private one-to-one session they are represented by markers, then using the facilitator and the client standing on the markers.

~  The defining of the person’s issue is an important part of the process. The issue is that which the person is moving towards; it is the aspiration of what I have called the Integrating Soul. It may not be clear in the first instance, even to the client, what their issue is; but the clarification of the issue prior to setting up the constellation is essential. It is the facilitator’s job to wait with the client while they move towards defining what it is that they want.

~  Once the constellation is set up the experiences of the client and the representatives give useful information as to what helps and what does not help with the process of integration.

~  Since in most cases we are dealing with past traumas, whether experienced by the person themselves or taken on from their bonded system, it is important to understand that trauma resolution takes time, and it is best thought of as a step by step process which cannot be hurried and no steps can be missed or jumped over. Everyone has their own pace and rhythm when it comes to healing.
