wp89f40370.jpg Professor Franz Ruppert has been Professor of Psychology at the University of Applied Sciences, Munich since 1992.

He is particularly interested in looking at the trans-generational impact of trauma on later generations, particularly in the area of severe mental illness. Over the past 15 years he has gained a good understanding of trauma processes and attachment theories, as well as in the methodology of systemic constellations.

He is particularly passionate about the need for psychotherapists and counsellors to address the trauma within their own system in order to be able to work with the trauma in their clients' systems.

His view is that psychotherapy is in the process of being required to work to a new level and depth in order to respond to the growing needs of the world, and that as psychotherapists, counsellors and other workers with people we have a responsibility to know and understand the place of trauma within the system and its effect across generations.
