Teaching Style

  • The underlying philosophy of this course is one of collaboration and co-creation, exploration and experimentation. In this sense while we as teachers recognise that we have certain experiences and knowledge about the ideas and work of constellations gained over the last fifteen years, we are also open for continual learning, exploration and experimentation in collaboration with you, the student.
  • What Barbara and I as teachers have within ourselves comes from our experiences and learning in the presence of our own teachers, and through our own work with others over the years. Some of what we have is difficult to put into words or schematic thinking but our intention always is to give you the best we can as facilitators and practitioners of this work.

Learning Style

  • The learning style of this course is predominantly experiential: it is only from a truly embodied stance that we learn to trust ourselves as client, representative and facilitator, and from here trusting the constellations process as a whole follows.
  • Discussion/debate: this takes place in the main group, in small groups and in peer groups, as well as in ad hoc one-to-one conversations.
  • Practice: practical and supportive practice in small groups, pairs, large group and peer groups.
